9 month stats

Lillian had her Dr appt on June 28th. She doesn't turn 9 months till Aug 7th.

She is 19 lb which is the 68th %tile.
She is 27 inches tall which is the 41st %tile.
They said she is completely fine and not overweight. She does have some chunk to her, but all cute babies do :)!

She had to have some wax cleaned out of her ears in order for the Dr to see. We know that didn't go over well. The right one had to be washed out to soften the wax. She got so upset that her hair was completely wet. She was so pathetic.

She needs to have a good cry every once and awhile. I know that sounds bad, but she has never been that upset before. Well, maybe only once when they sucked her nose out at the ER when she was 10 weeks.

Then she had two shots. But she didn't need Tylenol or Ibuprofen. She did very well.

The Dr said that she should be eating table food: puffs, cheerios, soft foods. I don't know why I am so nervous or reluctant to feed her table foods.

She isn't doing too bad, but she isn't doing great at it yet. The school said they will help give her puffs for snack to help her get used to them.

She has hit all the milestones except for the pincher grasp. This is where she can pick up something with her finger and thumb. I hadn't been letting her get foods yet. I feed her the melts, broken up. But they are sticky too and she doesn't quite get it.

But she is doing really well. She loves to say bye bye and wave for that and HI. She loves her sister and Ryan loves to make her laugh.

Lillian will get up on her knees and pull up if you are holding her hands. She is crawling really well. She also loves to cuddle, unlike her sister. Ryan was a very loving and happy baby, but she wasn't too cuddly. She likes to lay with her daddy now, but that's a rare moment when she cuddles with me. Daddy's girl........

So I love Lilly cuddles.

Ryan is an awesome big sister. She sill asks for her every morning if she can't find her in her crib. She loves to help her play and makes sure she is happy. Every now and then you can catch her say "It's ok, baby. Sissy is here." Or "I know, it's ok. I am here." Lillian is the luckiest little sister in the WORLD.

July 31st before school.

This day is the day that Ryan said. "Mommy, you always walk me to my class. I can go all by myself. You can take Lilly to her class. She needs you."

Ugh........ talk about heartbreak. I love her independence though. She will ROCK Kindergarten.

8 1/2 months..... 3rd tooth....and standing

This girl is growing so fast.

She is standing on her own (see below). She isn't pulling up on the couch yet, but that's only b/c she can't get a grip on the material.

She will stand up though if you hold her hands. She can get her foot placed then stands. WOW. She is going to be walking soon. She can't watch her sister run and leave her behind anymore.

She has also cut her 3rd tooth. It's her top left side.

What will happen next?? Her 9 month appt is July 28th. Stats to come soon.

Annual Momma Lunch

We go to lunch/brunch for moms birthday every year. We didn't go last year for some reason. I mean she was going through a lot with her knee, hip surgery, talking about her foot surgery. So we were unable to go.

But this year, Bridget was there which made it all the better. Momma and her girls (and precious Coop)

Sign language

Persistence pays off......

Age 8 months
Lillian signs "more" now. She hasn't done it on her own, but when you ask her is she wants more she will sign.
The pacy was the other thing that I was challenged with. She now wants the pacy and takes.

She has started playing more with toys and really likes little babies. I don't know if it's b/c they look like people or b/c it feels different and she is able to hold it.

Ms Janie at work has been giving the girls things when she finds them. She gave us two stuffed bunnies. Lillian loved playing with it.

Funny face!!

Morning hair. The picture doesn't do justice. But it was sticking out all on that one side.

Standing and taking the pacy.

Another girl at work gave us this walker. He daughter is one and said we could have this.

Lillian loves it and Ryan loves pushing her around in it.

"Bye Bye"

I was in the phone with Aunt H-E the other day and Lillian could see her picture. So I told Lillian to say hi, which she didn't. So when we were finished talking, I again told Lillian to say Bye Bye. (Sounds like BIE, BIE long I sound)

Nothing.....

Until I hung up. And then this happened.....

Summer is here!!!

Summer is here~

Fireworks, swimming, outside time.... I love it all.

Grandpa (98) and Lillian (8 months)

This highchair has seen a lot of little tooshies! It has gone through 12 grandkids and now great grandkids.

Lillian loves Grandpa

Lillian LOVES hats and her Poppa too.

I have taken Lillian swimming a few times and she seems to like the water, but she gets real hot. Both times I took her to the pool, she has gotten upset and cried and been sweaty. She and her daddy are going to be the home bodies and me and Ms Ryan are going to be outside all the time.

Lillian at Heather's in laws 4th of July weekend.

Ok, so for those that don't know Phillip was called Tank as a child. Not for his size (which helped), but for the fact that if something was in his way, he went through it or over it. He didn't go around it like other children.

Tank #2 below!!!

Ryan and I found The Texas Pool. It is really shaped like the state of Texas.

She went on the slide, swam, made friends (Morgan and Emily) and then found the diving board.

This girl jumped off with no fear and didn't stop until we left.
