Sitting up and getting teeth

It has been a rough few weeks. Lillian had still been in our room as we were painting it. Well, the painting was done, but we had yet to put the crib and Lilly back in her room. I had noticed that the pack n play wasn't very comfortable so we put Lillian back in her room.

Not only was she uncomfortable, but the girl cut her first tooth.

Last Friday (4/25) she got a fever and cried pretty much all night. Saturday however she was really good and went to my moms and was herself.

However, come Sunday morning she had a rash on her head, face, tummy and back. Phillip took her to the After Hours Clinic and all was clear. Ears and throat clear, no chicken pox so must have been viral.

As of today, she is sleeping in her room. Her rash is getting better and that tooth is showing more and more.

Lillian helping Hay Hay with wedding stuff.

Day after first tooth..... smiley as ever. But the sun is out so she is always happy in the day time :).

She also started sitting up. This is about 5-8 seconds.

Playing and making those sweet funny faces. Again, sitting up for a few seconds.

The finished product. The room looks great.

Ok, what is Ryan doing here you ask? Well that is still being determined. She has this new funny face she makes when she says her "What the...." comment. :)

Love this girl.

Easter 2014

Easter 2014

Wow, what a year it has been.

Last year mom wasn't able to come to Easter as she had just had hip surgery. It was a good day, but it was really different without mom there.

This year.........AWESOME. Not only was she there, but she walked in. She had her new foot and didn't use her wheelchair. What a great Easter.

AND.....Grandpa 98 years old was still there and enjoying himself.

Mom, Pop, G-pa, Bronwyn, Coop, Ryan and Lillian

This is Heather's favorite picture from Easter 2011. I had caught the "littles," now called the "middles" b/c Lilly is the "little" now, smelling the bluebonnets. I recreated that picture this year.

This girl loves the dentist/Best Sisters

Ryan had her school pictures done back when I was pregnant. I never realized that the girls wouldn't get their pictures taken together b/c when time comes next year, Ryan will be in big girl school.

Luckily, the school has Spring pictures. I am not sure why, but good for us. I put the girls in their "Best Big/Little Sister" shirts. I am really hoping that the pictures turn out good.

Lillian never takes her eyes off of Ryan when she is in the room.

We went back to the dentist to get a few sealants. This girl loves this place. She gets to play on the computer when we get there and watch TV during any procedure. I don't think she even noticed what was done. She didn't move. I was nervous that she might gag or get tired with her mouth open, but nope. She did GREAT.

Lillian in her high chair for the first time. She is 5 months and a week (23 weeks) old and doesn't sit up all that good yet. However, we watched some videos of Ryan when she was a baby and Lillian rolled over way before Ryan did.

She kept sliding down when in the high chair.

Not so Twin Twins taking communion.

Gymanstics/Family time/ Lillian's room

So we are in the process of painting Lillian's room....we as in Phillip. He has done a great job so far. We lack the colors in between the striped tape.

I will post after pictures soon.

I wanted to show how Ryan and Lillian can look alike when at the same age, but then again they can look different.

Here are both girls at about 20 weeks holding their bottles. I don't think they look all that much alike.

But here, they look the same to me.

(Ryan will still run into a room with her clothes on her head saying "Indian Princess.")

Lillian conducting the music when Ryan was at gymnastics.

Ryan is really doing good in gymnastics. I think she really likes it. We gave her an out last night if she wanted to stay home and decorate eggs for school Easter decorating contest and she said no. She wanted to go to gymnastics.

Talking to Coach Jenny

Hanging with Granddaddy at Wednesday Windows

She isn't too excited about her Jenny Jump Up yet. She just sits there and leans to one side and doesn't really try to do much. Except for chew on the front.

Lillian I think is going to be like me. I like to sleep on my side or tummy all cuddled up. She won't stay on her back very much at all.

Sleeping on her tummy.

Soundly sleeping on her tummy. And pacy....which didn't stay in her mouth long. She will take it if she is VERY tired, but it will fall out very quickly.

No more pictures Mom!

"Do you have dessert in there?"

Ok, so I have to share this. I was talking to Cynthia at work and told her this story and she reminded me that I needed to blog this.

We went to Ari and Jarek's house a few weeks ago. We ate dinner, played and had a good time.

Now, back when Ryan was 2 we just knew that she was going to be addicted to cake b/c every time you asked her how old she was she would say "Birthday Cake."

She has now started to ask me every day after school if I have a treat for her. I have to say no sometimes b/c I don't want it a habit or a need for a treat every day.

Well this brings me to the dessert story.

After we ate dinner, Ryan kept looking in Ari's pantry for dessert and asking Jeff if they have dessert. Phillip told her over and over that not everyone has dessert and that she will be fine without one.

A few minutes later we hear this:

Ryan: "Ari, do you have a freezer?"
Ari: (with a look of duh....why are you asking me that) "Yes, I have a freezer."
Ryan: "Do you have dessert in there?"

And there you have it.
