Ryan has learned to snap and snaps nonstop. She will ask us to listen to her snap a few times a day. She even got upset b/c a friend at school said she didn’t know how. I asked her if she hears a sound when she snaps and she said yes. So I said that she knows how to snap. She is very proud that she can do this.
I let her stay in our bed the night I got home from my work trip. I turned on Monsters Inc and asleep I went. I was woken up to the sound of snaps almost IN my ear. She was literally snapping right outside of my ear canal. I wake up and she says, “Mommy, do you hear that?” “Well yes……you are napping in my ear.”
She has been obsessed with bugs for a while now. She loves the June bugs outside of our door. She loves to make homes for them as we are on our way to school. They are almost dead at that point and really dark in color. Not sure if these are a different breed, b/c they don’t fly much. They are just hanging out on our front porch if we come home after dark.
If we say there is a bug, she has to see it first. She has to examine it to see if it’s play worthy.
Ryan still loves to be tickled. She has to have her daddy tickle her at least once a day. That is their bed time routine or morning wake up routine.
Phillip took pictures of Ryan every morning I was gone. I went to FL for work Monday through Friday. It was awesome to see her to so happy. The picture in the yellow shirt isn’t the happiest b/c it’s like she is tired of the pictures but having them taken b/c she knows they are being sent to me.
Ryan having fruit the morning I left. She is ALWAYS a morning person.
Monday.....her daddy does a good ponytail.
Tuesday....lunch day.
Wednesday.....really....another picture dad?
Thursday.....sassy pants.
I got back and spent a lot of time with Ryan. This is the morning after we went to Stacey and Alan's to play. She woke up with her hair like this after sleeping REALLY hard. But again....happy girl.
Mommy got a non-approved daddy swim suit. She is 4. I didn't think it was that bad....ok...so it is a little tiny.
In her cover up before swimming.
Um....surfer girl.
Phillip and Ryan colored quite a few pictures this past weekend. This one is my favorite. Ryan did the rainbows, the heads on the birds, the sun and some grass. Phillip....well.....we see how he really thinks our family hierarchy goes. Phillip and Ryan jamming in the truck going 90 miles an hour and I am holding on for my life......big belly and all.
Reaching for the (faint) rainbow.
